Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This page explains what Catalunya Oculta stores in your browser, why, and how to change your mind. The data controller is Marc Rodríguez Limpangog; you can find his full details in the Legal notice.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember something from one page to the next. Local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) do the same job with a different technique. Spain’s Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and E-commerce (LSSI-CE) treats all these techniques in the same way (Art. 22(2)), so we explain all of them here.

What we use

  • Technical: these make things you ask for work, such as the language, the audio player, comments or your cookie choice. They do not need your consent.
  • Statistics (Google Analytics): only turned on if you accept them.

We do not use advertising or social media cookies.

How to accept, reject or change your mind

The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept or reject the statistics with the same effort. Until you accept, Google Analytics does not load.

You can change your choice at any time with the round cookie button in the bottom-left corner of the screen or with this one:

If you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Your choice is kept for 24 months; after that we ask you again.

Technical cookies

Storage in your browser

All of this is technical and never leaves your device: it is not sent to our server or to anyone else.

Statistics cookies (only if you accept them)

Turnstile on the contact form

Cloudflare Turnstile protects the contact form against spam. It does not set cookies on our domain: it runs inside a box served from challenges.cloudflare.com, which receives technical data from your browser. It is needed to keep the form secure, so it does not ask for consent. You can find the details in the Privacy policy. It only loads on the contact page.

Google Analytics

Google Ireland Limited processes the statistics data on our behalf. Google LLC may also process it in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). Google explains how it uses this data on this page (opens in a new window). If you want to block Google Analytics on all websites, you can install its opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new window).

How to delete cookies and data in your browser

You can also delete or block this website’s cookies and storage in your browser settings. If you do, the player will forget where you left off and we will ask you about cookies again.

Changes and more information

If we add or remove a cookie, we will update this list and the date at the top. If the change needs your permission, we will ask you for it again. If you have any questions, email hola@catalunyaoculta.com. The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has a guide on cookies (opens in a new window) if you want to know more.
